News of June 2019

Hello Everybody,

 

With the odd 8-degree morning and some mid-day temperatures as low as 26 degrees in June, we sure are glad we are growing enough wood to feed our camp-fires. 

No more rain in sight… 

It is a season to keep us on our toes.

 

Meanwhile somebody in Kununurra purchased an aircraft in Queensland. By combining business with pleasure Bob and Bec flew from Toowoomba to Kununurra to broaden their horizons.

Queensland pastoralists now being frustrated by blue dots on a map!

It seems that politically correct thinking is making life tough for some land managers. They have our sympathy.

Australian landscaped have in recent millennia been re-shaped by human inputs. To now remove human management equates to the abdication of responsibility.

To be custodians of the land we need to also be students of how the ecosystem works. To remain effective, our actions need to align with naturally occurring processes.
