News of June 2017

Dear Photos of the Month friends,

June was marked by early morning coffees at the open fire and gloriously sunny and cool days. So far we have experienced mild winter with the lowest temperature sitting at around 13 degrees.

The cool weather and intense colours of the dry, invite for leisurely walks and rides in the bush to enjoy nature’s gifts all around. This was balanced with daily cattle shifts, fencing and hosting a group of very fit and inspiring bush walkers raising money for cancer research for children.

We hope you are all keeping well wherever you are and wish you a wonderful and safe month of July.

The Kachana Team.

Quote of the month:

“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
