more information

The cow you sponsor is part of a herd of cows that transform bare ground into grassland. The cattle fertilise the soil and any seeds that are carried in the dung sprout in ideal growing conditions. Hooves loosen up capped soil which facilitates the infiltration of water into the soil. Dung Beatles follow the herd and take advantage of the moisture of the dung pats to drill through even the hardest soil. This helps aerate the soil and provides even deeper water infiltration. By creating more vegetation the soil becomes like a sponge and when it rains it will soak up the rain. The ground water reserves are replenished.

Healthy grasslands  sequester CO². By sponsoring a cow you are actively involved in reducing your carbon footprint.
